puppy

So I'm driving down the road one day and see a dog walking by its self. So I decide why don't I pick it up and take it home. So I park my car get out and go to pick it up and it starts running. So I chase it and call after it. So the dog runs across the street and I follow it. As I'm running a car hits me. Well I fall down then get up and start chasing the dog again. So now I'm chasing the dog and the car is following me. Then the dog stops and starts peeing on a pole. Since it was a little dog I waited till it was done then picked it up before it could run again. So after I picked him up I was petting him and walking and the car drove up. I wasn’t sure what to say especially when it turned out to be a cop. I said i'm so sorry I was just trying to catch my dog. He said it’s alright I should have been paying more attention. I said o ok and he asked if I was alright. I said yea i’m alright he said ok good. He said that he wanted to make sure because he didn’t want to hurt me and I said thanks. So dropped me off at my car and said you shouldn’t j-walk and then drove off. And then I took my new dog home.
